Philosophy & Therapeutic Approach

I practice from an integrative perspective, primarily making use of an interpersonal approach with mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques to support our work. This means that I prioritize establishing and maintaining trusting and supportive connections with all my clients, and work to ensure that my clients and I have honest and open relationships that ensure both of our investment in their progress. To do so, we extensively discuss client issues, how treatment progresses, and any concerns they might have, both at the beginning and during therapy. During therapy I may also focus on helping clients become more aware of and less stuck within different thoughts and emotions through mindfulness practices and other techniques, all in an effort to help clients feel more comfortable and less distressed in their everyday lives.
